FAQs
How does an air scrubber work?

Air scrubbers contain a series of filters, with each filter targeting a different type of contaminant. For example, the primary filter eliminates the smallest particles from the air, while the pre-filter eliminates the larger particles. Some air scrubbers contain an optional carbon filter, which combats odors. Past these layers, the blower pushes the air out.

How long does an air scrubber need to run?

Based on industry standards and depending on the scrubber used, it is recommended that an air scrubber run anywhere from 24 to 48 hours. Air scrubbers usually have four to six air exchanges per hour, so run time may vary depending on the area contaminated.

Does an air scrubber kill mold?

Yes, but only air scrubbers with HEPA-grade filters or better and a strong airflow have mold-killing capabilities.
