FAQs about Hydraulic Vertical Shores
United Rentals offers hydraulic vertical shores for rent, commonly used to prevent cave-ins in various soil conditions. Hydraulic vertical shores support the side walls of the trench with hydraulic pressure and can be quicky and easily installed after excavation. Our inventory carries both 48-inch and 96-inch hydraulic release tools, capable of depressurizing and removing hydraulic cylinders from the top of a trench. This gas-powered hydraulic shoring pump is used to shore up the walls of your trench, saving you both labor and time. Additionally, we carry Fin Form sheets, pieces of laminated plywood used to prevent soil transfer and movement in trenches.

Hydraulic shoring is used to prevent cave-ins by using hydraulic power to apply active pressure against trench walls. Hydraulic shoring is ideal for long-term projects and longer excavations.
Fin Form is a type of laminated plywood that is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, standards for plywood use in trench shoring. Fin Form panels are reusable and capable of providing structural support and extra strength to uneven trench walls. Additionally, they are useful in various shoring methods, like vertical shoring.
