FAQs
What size air duct do I need?

To determine the size ducting you need for your worksite, you need to consider your HVAC system’s airflow (in cubic feet per minute/CFM), square footage and friction loss rate. To calculate the CFM, multiply the HVAC unit’s size (in tons) by 400, and then divide that number by your location’s square footage. Discuss this information with a United Rentals representative to determine what size duct you will need for your worksite.

Can you use the same ducts for heating and cooling?

Our HVAC ducts are designed to be used for both heating and cooling to provide year-round climate control for your worksite.

Can you use flexible ducting for heating?

Our flexible HVAC ducts can adapt to temperature fluctuations, so they can be used for both heating and cooling. We also have high-temperature flexible HVAC units available that can withstand temperatures up to 350°F for all your heating needs.
