FAQs About Wobble Lights
United Rentals’ wobble lights for rent provide 360-degree illumination for your indoor or outside jobsite. Use construction wobble lights in instances where you need a durable, portable source of temporary lighting. Units can be daisy-chained together to provide light across a larger area. Our inventory includes a 400-watt wobble light with a metal halide bulb and an LED wobble work light with a 150 or 220-watt bulb, depending on model. Each unit provides 360 degrees of light with a reflector shield that can limit the beam angle to 180 degrees in applications requiring more focused coverage. Use these durable, self-righting lights for construction sites, tunneling and underground work, warehouses, manufacturing plants and for disaster relief efforts. Trusted brands include Southwire, DEWALT and Rentquip.

Light output of a wobble light is best measured by lumens. United Rentals has one unit that provides 7,000 to 15,000 lumens, depending on model, and one unit that provides 38,000 to 40,000 lumens, depending on model. Diameter light coverage is a helpful spec that details how wide the wobble light’s illumination will reach. Our units’ diameter light coverages range from 60 to 110 feet.
Our wobble light rentals come with either an LED bulb or a metal halide bulb, depending on cat-class.
Metal halide wobble lights typically come with a cooling fan system to prevent overheating. LED wobble lights convert less energy into heat, so overheating is less of a concern for LED models. Operating temperatures range from -40 degrees to 125 degrees F.
