The cubic capacity of a 20-foot sea container is 1,120 cubic feet, and it has a maximum gross weight of 67,200 pounds. For example, a container of this size can hold 10 standard pallets, two small cars, 781 cases of letter-sized paper or approximately 7,300 gallons of water.
Cargo containers of this size are often transported by semi-trucks with flatbed trailers or tilt trailers that are pulled by powerful trucks such as a four-wheel drive ¾-ton crew cab pickup.
