FAQs About Evaporative Cooling Fans

Evaporative cooling fans, also known as evaporative coolers or portable swamp coolers, use water-soaked pads to cool warm air in large spaces. The fan draws in warm air, which then passes over the cooling pads, cooling the air released into the area. Indoor evaporative cooler fans can circulate cool air in warehouses or office spaces. We also offer indoor and outdoor evaporative coolers for jobsites or other large dry spaces. We carry top manufacturers like Portacool and QuietCool to ensure you get the highest quality equipment possible for the job.

FAQs
How does an evaporative cooling fan work?

Evaporative cooling fans use a fan to draw in warm air from the outdoors which then passes over water-soaked cooling pads. As the air passes over the pads, it cools and is pushed out into the room to cool the entire area.

What is a swamp cooler?

Evaporative swamp air coolers, or swamp coolers, is another name for large evaporative coolers. These pieces of equipment have the same function as evaporative cooling fans; however, they may be better suited for cooling an entire house rather than spot cooling a specific area.

How do evaporative coolers work?

Evaporative coolers can easily lower the temperature in a room by 5 to 15 degrees. However, because of the evaporative process used, these coolers can make the air more humid while cooling, so areas located in dry climates are better for this type of equipment.
