FAQs
Do you have to ground a portable gas generator?

According to OSHA requirements, the frame of a portable gas generator does not need to be grounded (connected to earth) because the frame serves as the ground, replacing the grounding electrode.

How long can a gas generator run?

This depends on the fuel capacity of the gas generator in question, however most gas generators will run between 8-12 hours on a full tank. There are naturally exceptions, and our smallest gas generator runs for about an 5 hours on a full tank, while our larger models can run for twice as long.

What size gas generator do I need?

Gas generators come in various sizes and should be selected based on the amount of running wattage needed to power the connected equipment. Learn more about how to select the right size mobile generator rental for your next project.
