Boiler: Temporary additional power during shutdown
Challenge:
A chemical plant lost their onsite boiler system from another plant that shares utilities. Our customer had to rent temporary boilers for the plant during the outage and did not have enough power onsite to power the boilers. They wanted a 100% redundant system due to the fact that if they lost the boiler feed, the plant would have to shut down.
Solution:
We provided 3 x 275 kVA generators synced together sharing the load and providing 100% redundancy and uptime. Power panels and electrical distribution were also provided.
Benefits:
The plant was able to stay online producing ethylene and other chemicals key to the plastics industry. The plant saved millions on euros per day with this system online.
