Brine Pump: Temporary power during loss of electricity
Challenge:
A petrochemical plant lost power to their Brine Pumping Station that pumps brine from their reserves to the plant. Brine is used in combination with Chlorine in the production of PVC. The Brine Pump was a 150 HP Pump that needed to be online for the plant to keep running.
Solution:
United Rentals provided a 300 kVA Generator along with a transformer package and electrical distribution to keep the pump station online
Benefits:
Our customer was able to keep their A-Chlorine, B-Chlorine, & C-Chlorine units online.$500k Dollars per day of product for Westlake was able to be produced due to the temporary chiller system.
