Challenge:
Our customer reached out to United Rentals for an effluent solution for one of their constructions sites. Due to the site drainage and outfall not being connected to the sewer network, the client needed to safely remove the effluent from the drainage system and store it above ground to allow for road tankers to empty the tank and dispose of the waste off-site. Space on the construction site was minimal and concern was raised about the positioning of equipment. The estimated hire period was 3-4 months.

Solution: 
United Rentals installed an integrated solution including:

• A 70 m³ Lined Tank to hold the effluent, to allow time for road tankers to come into the site and empty.
• A 4” Diesel Pump was supplied on manual operation, complete with 4” Bauer Hose.
• A Fill Indicator 6" Vapor Tight was also installed on the tank for visual inspection and monitoring.

Benefits:

• The customer was able to start & stop the pump as and when required.
• United Rentals provided a simple operation and the pump would run for 20 minutes to charge the battery.
• As well as United Rentals competitively pricing this solution, the customer only had to use a single supplier for a complete solution.
• United Rentals provided the customer a sketch of the process so they could visually see the solution, a service that competitors do not have/use.
