A safety stand down is an opportunity to pause and focus solely on the topic of safety. Trench Safety Stand Down Week is a nationwide initiative to reinforce the importance of working safely in and around trenches and excavations. TSSD started with NUCA (National Utility Contractors Association), and United Rentals has been a critical partner for several years, leveraging our team of trench safety experts for in-person and online learning sessions across the country.
Teams are encouraged to participate in the sessions or host their own toolbox talks to bring shared successes, best practices and a universal focus to safe trench work.
