Whether it be verbal abuse, a threat, or an act of physical assault, the frequency of violent acts in the workplace is growing every year. This type of occupational violence is a very real threat that can impact any worker at any time. In fact, nearly 2 million American workers per year report being the victims of workplace violence.

In this training course we will talk about the most common types of violence that employees might experience while on the job and some of the warning signs to look out for. We will also discuss some of the ways that employers and workers can help prevent violence from occurring at their places of work.

• Recognize violence when it is happening in your place of work.
• Identify warning signs of violent behavior and know the correct response to these signs.
• Know the proper precautions to take in order to help prevent workplace violence
• Understand the appropriate way to respond when a violent incident is happening in your workplace.
• Know what should occur after a violent incident happens at your place of work.
