Personal protective equipment is required under OSHA standards to protect employees from workplace hazards when and where hazards cannot be sufficiently controlled by the use of engineering controls such as machinery guards, filtration, ventilation, enclosures or other measures or by the use of administrative procedures and workplace rules and practices.

This module is intended to provide education for workers and employees on protecting themselves in the workplace with the proper use and care of Personal Protective Equipment as required by OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.132.

Training Topics:

• Understand the importance of personal protective equipment
• Be able to identify common types of personal protective equipment
• Know the proper foot, face, eye, hand, head, hearing, and respiratory protection
• Be aware of how to properly inspect and take care of personal protective equipment

This training program focuses on the needs of the “end user”, and upon successful completion, will provide an updated operator's certificate and wallet card.
