Emergency Data Center Cooling on a Friday Night

While working late on a Friday afternoon, a large data center customer called for a few spot coolers because temperatures were rising at their large secured server facility.

The United Rentals Climate Solutions team loaded up and was onsite to make the delivery within two hours.

Soon after arriving at the data center, the facility's entire AC system began failing and was in immediate need of roughly 20 more AC units. Drawing on United Rentals' broad and deep Climate Solutions rental fleet, the driver was able to immediately return to the warehouse and deliver the needed equipment later that evening.

With the needed equipment onsite, the Climate Solutions team was able to prevent the servers from shutting down due to over-heating, therefore maintaining guaranteed uptime to server users.
