Aeration Pond: Supply of emergency standby power
Challenge:
Our customer has an aeration pond that is used in their Waste Water Facility. The aerators must stay running at all times to provide movement and oxygen and all the aerobic bacteria to breakdown organic sediments in the waste water. If the aerators lose power, it will stop the oxygenation of the pond and the bacteria will die causing harmful sediments to remain in the waste water.
Solution:
1 x 200 kW is on standby onsite at all times to ensure that if our customer lost power, they would be able to run the aerators by generator power and keep the bacteria alive.
Benefits:
The plant was able to keep the bacteria alive and meet EPA regulations saving millions of dollars per year in fines.
