United Rentals Opens State-of-the-Art Customer Service Center for National Accounts

United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI), North America's largest equipment rental company, today announced the opening of its new National Accounts Customer Service Center in Shelton, Conn. The state-of-the-art facility is staffed by seven full-time customer service professionals who provide the company's largest accounts with a single point of contact for equipment rentals and sales, and contractor supplies.

The new service center shares information technology with more than 730 United Rentals branches throughout the United States and Canada. "This allows us to be incredibly responsive to customer requests," said Ernie Delle Donne, vice president-national accounts and government sales at United Rentals. "It's not unusual for one of our National Accounts to be based in the Northeast, for example, and need equipment delivered immediately to jobsites in Miami, Kansas City or Vancouver. Our new service center expands on United Rentals' unique ability to service large-scale needs."
