Commercial and industrial dehumidifiers pull moisture from the air while reducing humidity levels to improve the air quality. An industrial dehumidifier rental is optimal for your jobsite, warehouse, business, large basement or facility. This equipment provides emergency support in case of flood or utility main breaks by pulling out large amounts of excess moisture while eliminating musty odors to give your workers a breath of fresh air. Our desiccant dehumidifier rentals are optimal in restoration and remediation applications for pulling water and moisture from dense materials like wood, brick, plaster and concrete. A desiccant dehumidifier removes moisture from the air like any dehumidifier; however, the process is unique to this piece of equipment. Desiccant dehumidifiers use a spinning desiccant wheel that soaks up moisture like a sponge instead of using a cooled compressor like typical dehumidifiers.
An average dehumidifier uses around 280-300 watts per hour, or .28-.30 kW/hr. Check the manufacturer information manual of your dehumidifier for closer energy estimates.
Most commercial dehumidifiers use a fan to pull moisture in to make contact with cold surfaces like cooling coils, condensing the moisture. The liquid then drips into a pan or bucket while the leftover dry air is reheated and removed via another fan.
