Turns for Troops
Back for a second IndyCar season, the "Turns for Troops" program, sponsored by United Rentals, will help American Military veterans with major injuries while serving their country. The program will fund access to education, state-of-the-art rehabilitation programs and technologies that address a variety of combat-related injuries. Through Turns for Troops, United Rentals will donate $50 to SoldierStrong, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping American military veterans, for every lap by No. 15 driver Graham Rahal during the 2017 race season.

About RLL Racing
Founded in 1992 when three-time IndyCar champion Bobby Rahal started his own team with Carl Hogan, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing is one of racing's most celebrated organizations. Television icon David Letterman joined the team as an owner in 1996, with the team officially becoming Rahal Letterman Racing in 2004 - the same year that the team won the Indianapolis 500. Mi-Jack co-owner Mike Lanigan joined the team as a co-owner in 2010, and the team name changed again to reflect the new relationship. The team has won races in CART/Cahamp Car, the IndyCar Series, the Indy Racing League, Indy Lights and the American Le Mans Series.
About Graham Rahal
Graham Rahal grew up attending race events around the world with his father, 1986 Indianapolis 500 winner and three-time IndyCar champion Bobby Rahal and cut his teeth in karting and moved up through feeder series to Indy car racing. In 2008, a victory at St. Petersburg – in his IndyCar Series debut – made him the youngest winner in a major auto racing history at 19 years, 93 days old. He also co-drove the winning car in the 2011 Rolex 24 at Daytona sports car race. He earned wins at Auto Club Speedway and Mid-Ohio in 2015 and was second in the series point standings heading into the double-points-paying season finale in Sonoma but was hit from behind and ultimately finished 18th. He earned a series-high six podium finishes en route to a career-best rank of fourth place in IndyCar Series standings.
Small goods. Large impact. From this simple ethos, SoldierStrong began its journey of helping service men and women through theirs. Along the way, they've developed into an organization with a national profile that now stands at the forefront of non-profits dedicated to improving the lives of our nation’s heroes.
Although they've since left sock drives and care packages behind to tackle new challenges, SoldierStrong’ remains committed to its founding principles: providing our patriots with the resources and support they need to overcome obstacles new and old. While the goods that they now provide – state-of-the-art medical devices and educational opportunities at some of our nation’s most prestigious institutions – are in no way small, their impact continues to be outsized.
The 2016 IndyCar season proved to be a success for both No. 15 driver Graham Rahal and our Turns for Troops Program. A few highlights include:
Graham Rahal wins Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway. Although the first race was postponed due to heavy rainfall, Rahal came back with a vengeance and took 1st place in Fort Worth, Texas.
Graham Rahal concluded the 2016 IndyCar Season with a 2nd place finish at the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma.
2016 Turns for Troops Donation: United Rentals donated a total of $100,000 to SoldierStrong which will be used to provide access to education, state-of-the-art rehabilitation and the EksoSuit for injured veterans in the US.
