Uninterruptible Power Supply with Battery Packs

Challenge:

• During an event, the event organizer needs to ensure a constant power supply is available for the main stage. They reached out to United Rentals for a solution.
• No electricity grid was available.
• The organisation needs to ensure they continue their commitment to reduce CO2.

Solution: 

• United Rentals supplied a Battery Pack and a 60 kVA Generator. 
• The Generator runs the main stage, should the generator fail, the battery system will take over the full load seamlessly with no disruption to the power on stage.

Benefits:

• Only one single 60kVA generator needed to be supplied instead of multiple generators.
• Uninterruptible power supply functionality due to the Battery Pack.
• During the build up to the event, power could be taken from the Battery Pack.
• United Rentals was also able to contribute to the organisations environmental commitments by minimizing the Generators running time to reduce emissions.
