A lightning fast response to a tank farm fire
The Tank Farm Challenge: A routine turnaround at a chemical plant’s tank farm turned into an emergency when one of the sites permanent storage tanks caught fire. There was an urgent need to contain vast amounts of polluted firefighting wastewater.
The United Rentals Solution: The call came in at 21:00 and just four hours later the first of 50 Baker Tanks and Containment Berms were on site. Our rapid response saved the tank farms engineers precious time in their containment efforts and reduced the potential consequences of the polluted firefighting water.
The United Rentals system also resulted in significant cost and time savings by reducing the need for external waste disposal.
